Sean in Kindergarten!

Sean took his Kindergarten Reading Readiness Test last week and passed it with flying colors! His adviser loved the self-portrait he drew as part of the test.  She said she was showing it off to the other people at her office.  🙂

I don’t have a picture of his self portrait but below is an example of one of the “comic strips” Sean has been drawing lately.

Sean got to pick out a Lego set as his reward for completing his Reading Readiness test and he picked one of the Lego Creator sets where you can make three different things.  He has spent the week since then taking it apart and building one of the vehicles over and over again.  Thankfully he can follow the instructions and build the sets all by himself now!

We started school this weekand so far Sean likes most of Kindergarten!

June 2017 Screenshots

I bought some Star Wars comic books in June and realized I missed Star Wars: The Old Republic.  I leveled my Sith Warrior up to the level cap and got her through all the story finally!

Then I went back and ran my main character, Trooper Jaihn, through the Iokath story chapter that came out recently.

Lastly, I started working on getting my first Bounty Hunter through all the story up to level cap.

Lastly, the Steam Summer Sale is going on this week and I bought Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.  I’m enjoying it so far!

Vesper’s Doings, Spring 2017

Vesper celebrated her seventh birthday and is really happy to be done with first grade!

She is enjoying her new dollhouse and dolls as well as building legos, reading (!!), and learning to sew.

May 2017 Screenshots

I actually created three different Ryder’s in Mass Effect: Andromeda this month because I wasn’t sure which I liked better.  After many attempts I decided on my three favorites.  First up I chose this one to play through as the Ryder brother for the first time:

I also created two more Sister Ryders, first up is this really cute one with a pony tail.  I really love the ponytails in this game!

Lastly, I couldn’t resist choosing pink hair for the last one I created.  I am currently playing through  the game with Jade and it is quite fun with the pink hair.  🙂

Last Day of School 2016-17

We finished school for the year!  Sean completed Pre-K and Vesper finished First Grade.  They both recieved their certificates and a lego set to celebrate.  Vesper loves her Veterinarian set, she built it all by herself.

Sean recieved a 3-in-1 Lego set and has already built and destroyed the helicopter.  After he took apart the helicopter he built the plane below.  And he is currently wanting to take the plane apart in order to build the last version of the set: the snowmobile.

Playing outside after finishing the last bits of school!

Sean with Snuffles, his best buddy.

And Yowler’s four kittens taking a nap, their normal activity so far.  🙂

April 2017 Flooding

April showers went out with a bang this year!  We had tons of rain the last weekend of April and had the most flooding we have ever seen.  Our creek spread out over the hay field and made it all the way to the old chicken house.

Our wet weather creek turned into quite a river that spread into our hay field to meet the creek in the middle.  This is a picture of it from our porch, thankfully our house is up on top of the hill so we got to enjoy all the rain in safety.

The next day we took a field trip to the Beaver Lake Dam where the flood gates were all the way open, it was amazing to see all the water.

You can see the lake on the left in the background, even with the flood gates all the way open the lake was up to the top of the dam.

April 2017 Screenshots

So many Mass Effect screenshots this month!  I was able to finish up my second play-through and I think this character is my favorite so far.  First up is Sara rescuing the Moshae:

I love all the textures and effects in the game, especially when snow/rain/dust accumulate on your character’s armor.

Investigating a Remnant vault:

The space map is beautiful!

On a mission with Vetra:

Reyes causing trouble again. 😉

I loved the lighting in this cave shot:

Taking time off for dancing.

Meeting the family. 🙂
